This winter, Suffolk Christian Church will be hosting Night Stay during the weeks of 1/31-2/7 and 3/21-3/28. The Night Stay Program, sponsored by The Coalition Against Poverty in Suffolk (CAPS), enables congregations located anywhere in Suffolk to open their facilities and provide food and shelter for individuals or families who would normally spend their nights sleeping on the streets, in cars or perhaps in empty buildings or the woods. CAPS is a network of churches and organizations working together for poverty alleviation and community development.
The site of Night Stay rotates among host churches on a weekly basis. Each scheduled week of Night Stay, one church location provides shelter, meals, resources, security and fellowship to those experiencing homelessness. Doors are open from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM.
There is a sign-up sheet on the bulletin board by the church office. Help us make a difference!
